Golf on Any Tee & Broccoli Country Club brought their communities together for a great cause. The foundation that this tournament raised funds for is called the Brent Sopel Foundation, a charity created by former Chicago Blackhawk and Stanley Cup Champion, Brent Sopel. This foundation was created to improve the education and understanding of those who suffer from dyslexia.
The Golf on Any Tee Charity Outing was hosted at Ruffled Feathers Golf Club, in Lemont, IL. Known for its meticulously designed course by Pete Dye, the venue provided an idyllic setting for this event aimed at supporting local charities while celebrating the growth of a public golf membership organization named Golf on Any Tee or G.O.A.T.
The event kicked off with an energetic check in process complete with greetings, and giveaways. After some warming up, players were called to the golf carts to ride out to their individual holes for a shotgun start. The format was a 4 man scramble complete with small challenges along the way.
The tournament featured two “longest drive” holes, two “closest to the pin” contests, as well as a “longest putt” contest. After a full day on the greens, attendees gathered at the clubhouse for a charity auction, a raffle, and a buffet style dinner, featuring a locally sourced menu and live entertainment. The GolF on Any Tee Charity Outing exemplified Broccoli Country Clubs values of community, connection, and celebrating cannabis as a force for good.
